Mix Stage 1 has te latest Solid State Logic technology. Our C3048 console has a capacity of 512 channels and has been designed for two simultaneous mixing engineers.

Mix Stage 2 has a Euphonix System 5 Fusion console. This CM401 has a capacity of 112 channels.

  • AUDIO EDITING SYSTEMS

Mix Stage 1 has 5 Pro Tools work stations which allows to mix and edit simultaneously different reels of the film optimizing in this way the use of the MS1.

Mix Stage 2 has 2 Pro Tools work stations which allows to mix and edit simultaneously different reels.

  • CONNECTIVITY VIA SAN NETWORK

Mix Stage 1 uses the network known as SAN (Storage Area Network) which means that all the computers connected to the server have simultaneous access to the files in the system. This process avoids the unnecessary duplication of files.

  • AUDIO RECORDGING FAIRLIGHT COMPUTERS

At Mix Stage 1, once that all the Pro Tools signals are mixed in the Solid State Logic c3048 console they are also recorded in two Fairlights Systems with 192 channels each.

At Mix Stage 2 the recorder is a Pro Tools with RAID 5 System.

  • VIDEO SYSTEMS

Mix Stage 1 has a Pixies System which allows us to receive HD Quicktimes in different formats (Pal and NTSC).

Mix Stage 2 has an Avid Media composer Mojo System.

  • VIDEO PROJECTION

Mix Stage 1 uses a Christies CP 2000 – ZX digital projector which is really efficient in terms of image management.

Mix Stage 2 uses a Christies Full HD DHD 800 digital projector.

  • THREE LEVEL SYNC

In order to have all digital audio systems in perfect sync and sequentially obtain the best sound quality possible, we use a House Synch Tektronix system, combined with other subsystems which allos to switch between film PAL and NTSC.

  • AUDIO CONNECTION MADI

In order to guarantee the best quality and efficiency in audio systems we use MADI fiber optic technology, which completely eliminates audio loss due to the distance associated with the use of regular copper cables.

  • MONITORING

Considering the latest acoustic design: absorption, diffusion and diffraction, based on an RPG System.

Mix Stage 1 uses TAD speakers in a Quadamp format and Mix Stage 2 uses MEYER speakers in a Triamp format. Both systems aligned in time.

  • DOLBY DIGITAL SYSTEM

Dolby Laboratories has shown a special interest in Astro LX and alongside with the architects of Studio 440 Hollywood supervised that all the specific requirement for the Dolby standards of certification were met.
